Oil-Spot Primer is an acrylic bonder that's ideal for preparing your driveway for a new layer of sealant. It seals over stubborn, hard-to-clean oil spots to prevent them from bleeding through to the newly resurfaced driveway. Using this primer helps ensure a strong bond between the driveway and the sealer and creates a clean, professional finish. A ready to use polymer based emulsion designed to seal oil, grease, and gasoline spots or stain prior to the application of pavement sealers over asphalt surfaces. (Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to night time temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late fall and early spring applications).
Surface Preparation
Scrape, wire brush, or burn off excessive build-up of oil, grease, and gasoline.
Mixing Procedures
Stir thoroughly. DO NOT DILUTE.
Application
Apply with brush, roller, or spray. Allow Prep Seal to dry completely before applying pavement sealer.
Important
Temperatures must be above 50°F both during application and for a period of at least 24 hours after application. Do not apply when rain is imminent or forecast.
Clean Up
Wash tools in water before material dries.
